Transdev extends bus contract in Brisbane

Transdev will continue to operate metropolitan bus services in Brisbane, on behalf of the Queensland Government, until at least 2023 after signing a new contract with TransLink today.

Transdev operates 124 buses locally, and under the new 5 year (plus 2 year option) contract will continue to deliver over 3,500 services every week across 27 urban and 94 school routes – helping more than 2.56 million Queenslanders get to where they work, live and play every year.

    Transdev has operated bus services on behalf of TransLink in Brisbane since 2004; it also operates the iconic City Cat, City Ferry and City Hopper ferry services on behalf of Brisbane Council.

    Transdev employs 439 people locally: 191 people in its bus operation, and a further 248 people in its ferry operation.
