Transdev’s Ferry and Light Rail teams in Sydney are thrilled to be able to once again get involved in the two-week Mardi Gras festival from 18 February – 6 March 2022.
Embracing this year’s theme ‘United We Shine’, Circular Quay will brighten up with a spectacular rainbow road at the light rail stop and a large photo wall at Wharf 4. For two weeks, rainbow flags will be flown on all Sydney Ferries vessels whilst one light rail vehicle and one iconic First Fleet ferry, Borrowdale, will flaunt eye-catching decals and wraps to exhibit with pride Transdev’s support of diversity.
In collaboration with Transport for NSW, ALTRAC Light Rail and advertising company TorchMedia, Transdev’s Sydney teams have long proudly supported the annual Mardi Gras festival.
Transdev Sydney Light Rail Managing Director, Arsène Durand-Raucher said, “Transdev always looks forward to the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras celebrations.”
“We hope these colourful displays at some of our iconic locations, are seen as an outward display of the pride we have in our hearts for the LGBTQI+ community.” Mr Durand-Raucher said.
Transdev Sydney Ferries Managing Director, Loretta Lynch said, “After two challenging years, it is more important than ever that we take the time to brighten our customers’ lives and come together to support one another.”
“Transport is what connects people, and we are extremely proud to make our networks shine to promote the spirit of inclusion.”
At Transdev, we are incredibly proud of our PRIDE Network, a dedicated platform for our LGBTQI+ employees and allies since 2019. Our ‘Ride with Pride’ campaign, developed by Transdev employees, is a testament of our commitment towards push for equality and inclusion.
